“Our prayers for others flow more easily than those for ourselves.” This shows we are made to live by charity.
Like every other year this year too was ‘the year of generous giving and satisfying hearts’ for NBV Charity Club. Our club stands adamant on the vision that ours will not be a club confined only to the papers; we like to get around, observe, feel the people, know their needs and act even before they ask for our help. We would like to mention a few of the many contributions we made this fine year. Starting with the Bethany Day, we visited Cheshire Home lending them a hand with the contributions from our KG department and Grade 12 Students.
We made sure everyone enjoyed Onam as we did; no one should be left behind from the joy of celebration. So we made our Onam Celebration a memorable one by visiting Karimadam Colony, distributed Onam kits satisfying theirs as well as our hearts. A constant source of contribution to the club was from the canteen we set up during the Arts, Sports and Inter House competitions, helping us to raise a huge sum of money. We shared the merriment of X-mas with three charitable institutions providing them with provisions and cakes and above all, our love. NBV Charity Club is firm on the thought that “Charity should be done not because someone wants us to, it’s because we ought to.”
